As you leave the cruise port this begins your journey to the beach and a short tour into the historic city of Basseterre. Here you will be enlightened of the old stone structures of some of our buildings, their intricate decorative lattice work and why we have maintained the architecture of these structures.  

Namely the Co-Catheral of the Immaculate Conception, The Anglican Church, Government Headquarters for governmental business and our famous Circus Clock (Little Ben) which is synonymous with our history.

Like our neighbouring sister islands St. Kitts also sold slaves in the 1700 – 1800’s and this site is still available today know as ‘Independence Square,” formerly Pall Mall Square. The name was changed when St. Kitts attained independence from Britain 19^th September 1983. This picturesque relaxing area is now a garden to stroll and have fun events.

Now it time to do some relaxing on the beach and take warm swim in the Caribbean Sea. Let’s journey to Frigate Bay where most our hotels and championship golf course are located. A drive up to the famous Timothy Hill which leads toward the Southeast will give you a spectacular and picturesque view of the mountainous landscape and prospective hotel sites.

As you get closer to the beach looking ahead you’ll glimpse the light blue calm waters of the Caribbean Sea with waves gently rolling back and forth on the sandy shores. Take part in available water sports or order a beach chair and umbrella at leisure. Your guide will return for you in two hours for a scenic drive back into the city where you can browse and shop. Thereafter it be your last opportunity to have a photographic moment before taking a leisurely walk back to the ship.
